DESCRIPTION
His Japanese name is very similar to the word "Shoryu", which means Dragon: in fact, he is of the constellation of the Dragon. He is sent to China to undergo his training, then when he comes back to New Luxor he enrols in the tournament in order to show his Master that he has learned the art of fighting; afterwards he joins the group because he is grateful to Seiya, who saved him.
He is very presumptuous and self-assured; this is why he is constantly showing off his knowledge. He always speaks in a soft voice, even though he frequently goes into hysterics, which makes him even more unbearable. In spite of his bad temper he has succeeded in becoming the darling of his Master, of Mur and of Capricorn (Shura) pretending to be a perfect saint.
When Shiryu fights, he thinks he is invincible; in reality, his enemy is stronger than he thinks and sometimes the opponent is even able to discover his weak point, his heart.
Even if no one knows how, he managed to get a woman to like him: the unlucky person is Shunrei (flower of the moon). Rumour has it that Shiryu cheats on her with Seiya, in fact, their friendship is very morbid.
As far as his physical appearance is concerned, many persons say that he is handsome but wait a minute and focus on his hair: it’s fading black, it’s knee long and it looks like toilet paper, it’s very untidy always dirty with sweat, mud and blood. His eyes are light blue turning grey; they are frequently damaged and particularly weak, every time he fights he becomes blind.
Because of all these features, he has been nicknamed “Coat”.
His armour is dragon shaped and it’s dark green; one of its good points is its shield that is almost indestructible.

Shiryu can deal this blow only if he’s able to reverse the course of his blood. The weak point of this attack is that while Shiryu is launching it his heart remains exposed.
	Rozan Kouryuha  (Rozan Ascending Dragon) (Colpo del Drago Culminante) This is an extreme attack, which consents to reach the fullness of the Dragon. Because of its tremendous power, anyone who uses this attack is bound to die in the way up to the outer space.
	Rozan Ryuhishou  (Rozan Dragon Flight) (Colpo Segreto del Drago Nascente) It is a more powerful variation of the Rozan Shoryuha.
	Rozan Hyaku Ryu Hatsu  (Colpo dei Cento Draghi) It’s the most powerful attack, which is launched with two hands: Shiryu learns this attack only in the Hades series.
