WHAT ARE THEM?
They are programs for pc that simulate consoles and similars, such as Nintendo, Sega, Playstaion, Game Boy, Neogeo...
An emulator works only with a certain type of console.
The games for emulators (that are from the games for console) are called ROMS.

ALL THE EMULATORS ARE THE SAME?
No, some of them are better than others, because they are programmed better and work with more kinds of games.
I have more emulators in this section, so everyone can choose the one he prefer; near every emulator, I've written a short opinion about the features.
All the emulators are tested with the roms of Saint Seiya; in fact, it often happens that, by using a wrong emulator, theese work, but with various bugs (unclear textes, defined character but strange background...)

EMULATORS FOR NINTENDO

NESTER MAPPER SUPPORTER 532 Kb Opinion: very good!
All the games of Saint Seiya work well
You can save in more slots.
You can change keyboard controls.
You can change the color palette.

NESTEN 608 Kb Opinion: good.
The French game of Saint Seiya works well, but you can't see very well the first Japanese game (when you are walking, some zeroes appear in the status; however, the background and the textes are clear and you understand what you are doing).
You can save in more slots.
You can change keyboard controls.
You can change the color palette.

NESTICLE 464 Kb Opinion: not so good.
You can't see the Gold Legend (French and Japanese) at all, because sometimes the backgroud disappears.
It works in Dos
You can save only in one slot.
It's a very common emulator and one of the first ones.

EMULATORS FOR GAME BOY

TGB DUAL 89,6 Kb Opinion: very good!
All the games of Saint Seiya work well.
You can save in more slots.
You can change keyboard controls.
It works in Windows.

SMYGB 40,7 Kb Opinion: good.
All the games of Saint Seiya work well.
You can save only in one slot.
You can't change keyboard controls.
It works in Windows.

VGB 58,7 Kb Opinion: sufficient.
All the games of Saint Seiya work.
You can save in two slots only when the game allows you to do it, such as the game in the original Game Boy version.
You can't change keyboard controls.
It hasn't any menu.
It works in Dos.

EMULATORS FOR WONDERSWAN

WSCAMP 0.21 275 Kb Opinion: sufficient.
Good sound and images.
You can change keyboard controls.
It works in Windows.
You can't save in slots, but you have to use the typical saving of the game (the nasty passwords for Saint Seiya).

CYGNE 2.1a 97,8 Kb Opinion: sufficient.
There isn't sound.
You can save in slots (not compatible with Oswan).
You can change keyboard controls.
It works in Windows.

OSWAN 0.7 201 Kb Opinion: insufficient.
Good sound and images.
You can save in slots (not compatible with Cygne).
It works in Windows.
You can't change keyboard controls.
There isn't an essential key to play (start).
